Cookie Policy

Effective June 5, 2026

gilika uses only the cookies it needs to work. We set no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. For product analytics we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and cookieless — it sets no cookies, tracks you across no other sites, and never sees your code. Because the only cookies we use are strictly necessary, there is still no consent banner to click through.

Strictly necessary cookies

If you sign in, our authentication provider, Supabase, sets a session cookie (named like sb-<project>-auth-token) that keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It holds your session tokens, not your personal data, and is removed when you sign out. Anonymous use of the editor sets no cookies at all.

Local browser storage (not cookies)

A couple of features use your browser’s localStorage rather than cookies. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers:

  • Export count. We keep a running tally of your free monthly exports so we can apply the free-tier limit. It resets each month.
  • Pending style. When you open a saved style from your dashboard, we briefly stash its visual configuration to hand it to the editor. It holds only the look (theme, background, font, and so on), never your code, and is cleared once loaded.

Third-party processors

Supabase handles authentication and database storage (hosted in the European Union, in West EU, Ireland, eu-west-1), Stripe handles payments, but only when you actually reach the Stripe-hosted checkout or customer portal, and Vercel hosts the app and provides cookieless Web Analytics. Supabase and Stripe may set their own cookies under their own policies while you interact with them; Vercel Web Analytics sets none. We do not embed third-party advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. For the wider picture of what we collect, see our Privacy Policy.

Managing cookies

You can clear the sign-in cookie at any time by signing out, and you can clear local storage through your browser’s settings. Note that blocking the strictly necessary cookie means you won’t be able to stay signed in. You can confirm all of this yourself.
